I came to know Col SP Karir when he joined the Editorial Team of The Signalman. Of course his coursemates and those who did courses like SODE with him or served together in units knew him more intimately.
Col SP Karir was a very well read and informed, quiet worker who contributed a great deal towards the uplifting of The Signalman. Pleasant to deal with, he could be fully depended upon.
It is very sad that he left us all at rather a young age. May God bless his soul and give strength to his family and friends to bear the loss.
