I am indeed saddened by the news that Col Pinglay is no more.
I used to meet him often at the Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore in the last two months where he told me that he had exhausted all chances of survival from cancer of the bladder. He was composed and frank enough to face the inevitable with stoic resolve, and this was a typical characteristic of his. He met his end with the same courage he showed in life. God rest his noble soul in peace.
May God give his wife and family the courage to live without him. Amen.
In sorrow
