Deeply regret to hear the sad demise of Lt Col R Narasimhan Retd ( Signals);
An officer two decades senior to me.
In those days a Lt Col enjoyed more powers, status and previleges in the society than todays Lt Gens.
In spite of the gap that existed due to the then prevailing formality, the Colonel managed to leave a deep impact on the signallers, he served with. I owe a lot to senior officers' like him, for developing the values and discipline that is so very important for a soldier.
We pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.
It will be with pride that his wife, son, Brig S Rajagopalan, Daughters, daughter-in-law and grandchildren will remember the very close association they had to be a part of him.
May GOD give them strength to carry forward his mission.
Brig. G. Natarajan, Retd, Signals
